So after the year ended for dance Cloie decided she wanted to try out soccer. She wasn't too bad. She never actually made a goal but she made several assists. She was just too nice and not aggressive enough. She was always right behind the person with the ball but would never just go after it. Oh well, she had fun and it was good exercise. Poor Carter had to sit on the sidelines and watch. One game he was getting bored so I gave him gum to keep him quiet. Well he decided to see how far he could push my patience and kept stepping on the field when I told him not too. I warned what would happen and sure enough all of a sudden the ball came rolling at him and a herd of 4 yr olds followed and he got trampled. Of course, he started crying and I just assumed it was because he had just gotten run over by a herd. But, the first thing out of his mouth was, "my gum, my gum."

Just a Bunch of Fun Outside!
Here are the kids enjoying random days of good weather. The popcicles are from the ice-cream truck. It was his first trip into the neighborhood this summer and all the kids went crazy. Every kid on the street had one. Cloie picked a tweety bird popcicle and Carter picked Batman. They heard the music from the backyard and ran in to tell me. By the time we got our money and went out front we were too late. We sat out on the steps for 45 minutes waiting for it to come back. When it didn't they were sooo sad that I got them brownies from inside. Then as soon as we were finished with our treat we could hear the music again and it was getting louder and closer. So we ran out as fast as we could and were first in the long line of kids to get our popcicles. Oh what an ordeal!!

Easter
The kids had so much fun this Easter. Cloie knew exactly what she was doing when it came to hunting for Easter eggs. Carter on the other hand was soon preoccupied when he discovered that there was candy in the eggs. After that he didn't worry about finding eggs he just wanted the candy inside the one he already had.
I managed to finish Cloie's Easter dress just in time. I am so proud of my skills. Isn't she adorable. And of course Carter had to get all spruced up too!
