Our Little Baker

Cloie and I love to bake and we really love cupcakes. She always wants to help in the kitchen, so she finally got her chance when we made cupcakes the other day. Her favorite part is licking the bowl. How cute is she in her apron.

Camping Fun

These are some of the pics from our camping trip to Lake of the Woods. We had a lot of fun and got really dirty. Carter had a bear bell strapped to his belt loop at the back of his pants the whole time so that we could keep track of him a lot easier. When we first put it on he tried to look at it and looked like a dog chasing his tail. It was so cute. Sleeping didn't go too well. We had a small tent and Carter wasn't used to sleeping with us so he had a hard time getting to sleep. Plus we were so close to everyone else (Jason's family) that we were worried about waking people up. On the way out of the camp site we sort of started playing going on a bear hunt. The road out is very very narrow and covered with mud holes and rocks. You have to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get in and out. So as we came to a mud hole Cloie would say "uh-oh mud, we have to go through it," and then she would make mud sounds. Well during our little bear hunt game I looked down the road and just happend to see a black bear run across the road. It's funny that we were playing bear hunt and actually spotted a bear. Who would have guessed. Anyway the camping trip went pretty well except for the mosequitos, which didn't show up on the kids until a few days after we got home, and then all of a sudden they woke up with little red spots all over their faces. At least they're not complaining. This is how Cloie looked anytime she sat down. We just had to get a shot of it.

This is video of a boat ride we took at Lake of the Woods. Carter actually fell asleep on this ride.

Happy 4th of July

Here are the kids at the park while we waited to see fireworks. There was carnival rides there for the kids, so I decided to take Cloie on a few. She first went on one that was cars that went around and around in a circle. She loved that. Then we saw a little roller coaster for kids that was a catapillar that you rode in. She thought that looked fun and wanted to try it. First time she went around she was smiling and checking it out, not sure what was going on. Second time around she was still okay but not as smiley. Third time around she was screaming and crying and she still had about 5 more times around to go. When the fireworks finally started Cloie who had been so excited and was waiting all day to see them, hid under her blanket and covered her ears. I guess it was too loud for her, but not loud enough to keep her from falling asleep. Carter had a good time, especially with his flag. He had to hold it the whole way back to the car which was about a 15 minute walk. He held it all the way home. He wouldn't put it down to change into jammies which made it interesting. And he insisted on taking it to bed with him. All in all it was a good 4th.
