Riding The New Bikes

Here are the kids riding their new bikes. Cloie's really isn't new, she got it at the end of last summer but hasn't had a chance to ride it until just recently with the spring like weather. And Carter is riding his new tricycle that he got from Grandma and Grandpa Arnold for his birthday. We went out to ride because the weather was so nice and we have been couped up inside for so long. I guess our neighbor had the same idea because we found Cloie's "boyfriend" Jake out on his bike too. Yes I said boyfriend. Anytime she knows she is going to see him she gets out her make-up box and puts on her Hanna Montana perfume and makes herself all beautiful for him. One time she told me she wanted Jake to dance with her like the prince does with the princess. I told her she would have to ask him and that's exactly what she did. Cloie: "Jake, I want you to dance with me!" Jake: (having just woken up from a nap) "Not right now, I'm too tired." How cute is that! When we got home she said she was sooo embarrassed. I asked her why and she said, because Jake is my boyfriend.
Anyway, I guess I got a little side tracked from the bikes. Cloie had to practice riding her bike inside the house because she was too afraid to ride it. Finally she got the confidence (from her daddy) and she hasn't wanted to stop riding. Carter hasn't quite figured out peddling. When he first got his bike he did ok, but while we were out today, he just scooted along. Oh well, he'll figure it out eventually.

The Birthday Boy

Happy 2nd Birthday Carter!

Happy Birthday to my little guy! The big and teribble TWO's. I can't believe how big he has gotten. Or how smart. He can say and do pretty much anything. Carter's personality is developing and coming out more and more each day. He is a definite boy! He has learned very early on how tease his older sister; how to blame her for things; how to get into, or onto anything; and how to get away with anything using his charm and puppy dog looks. He loves milk, chips, and candy. And that is what he tries to live off of. He already has a darling sense of humor and knows just how to make us laugh. He enjoys running around, riding his new bike (he just got for his birthday), staying up late, cars, motorcycles, and trucks (except for the garbage truck which he thinks is "gary" or as we would say scary). We are so lucky and so happy to have this precious boy in our lives. We love you so very much Carter and wish you the happiest 2nd Birthday ever!!

Here is Carter opening a few presents the morning of his birthday. We got him this really cute Missionary Fund bank and a semi truck full of little cars.
This is what happens when daddy is in a silly mood. Carter gets stuck wearing his big boy undies over his pj's. As Cloie would say, "Oh, Dad!"
