Happy 3rd Birthday Kylee!

Here are the cousins at Kylee's birthday party. It wasn't easy to get them all looking at the camera at the same time.

These two are so cute together. They love playing dress-up with each other.

Good job with those candles Lisa!

Finger Painting

It's been cold, and we have been stuck inside doing the same old same old boring thing day in and day out. So, I (being very brave) decided to get some finger paint. This was new to all of us so it was a little interesting. Carter didn't like the paint on his hands and kept using wipes to clean them. Cloie however, had fun with it though she has requested brushes next time we paint. I made prints of their hands to hang as art in their playroom. I was really surprised at how good they were with not getting paint all over everything. I guess will have to do it again.

Jason's 30th Birthday

This was Jason's 30th Birthday. We had planned to go out to P.F. Chang's with all of his family, but due to the weather we were unable to. So instead we had a nice evening at home with homeade pizza and birthday cake. Yes, there are 30 candles on the cake of various shapes, sizes, and colors. It was not easy to light without getting burned.
We are so blessed to have Jason in our lives and we are grateful for everyday and every moment we get to share with him. He is a wonderful husband, and a great father. Jason, we love you very much. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Our Snowman

This is me and the kids getting ready to go out and play in the snow and build a snowman. Jason did not come out with us because he is a party-pooper and doesn't like the cold. I had to shovel the driveway and walks before we could start the snowman and by the time I was ready to build the kids had had enough and went inside leaving me to build the snowman by myself. It wasn't great snow, it was really powdery on top and then it was heavier and wet underneath. So it didn't pack very well and my snowman came out looking like it was already melting. It takes a rare talent to build a snowman to look like it is melting. I have that talent!

More Fun at Great Grandma Wilding's

While we were in Idaho we decided to take the kids bowling. They both did pretty good. Cloie even bowled a strike. ( of course she used the "slider thing" and bumbers, but it was still impressive.) Originally we weren't going to have Carter bowl but he was insistant on it. We had to keep an eye on him or he would grab any ball he could and try to throw it where ever he was. After a little bit they got bored so we let them play some of the little arcade games that they had there. Jason so set on winning a bunch of tickets to get them a prize. He got hooked on a wheel of fortune game where you had to hit the button when the "spinner light" came on so the wheel would spin. He played at least 8 times and ended up with about 200 tickets. The kids weren't even interested in any prizes so we picked one out for them.

It was just sooo much fun at Grandma's, we'll definitley be back soon. The kids absolutely love Great Grandma Wilding!

Our New Year's Eve Celebration

Great Grandma Wilding got noise makers and party hats for our New Year's Eve. The kids had so much fun with them. Cloie would chase Carter with hers and blow it at him. Carter would taunt her saying "get me, get me" then he would run away screaming and giggling.
Jason and I had to split up at bedtime. He and Carter slept in one room and Cloie and I slept in another. The kids didn't want to sleep alone and it was too hard for one of us to take both of them. So on New Year's Eve Cloie was getting pretty tired by 10. (their bedtime is usually 8:30 at the latest.) I had to go and lay by her until she fell asleep and then I rejoined the party where Carter was still going strong. At 11 Jason and I were too tired to stay up but Carter was as energetic as ever and we had to coax him to bed. It was a pretty fun night.

Carter just loves Great Grandma Wilding. He followed her around everywhere. He helped with the cooking and with the dishes. Both kids had so much fun they didn't want to go home.

Sledding at Great Grandma Wilding's

We decided to spend the last days of 2008 at Jason's Grandma's in Idaho. We brought all our snow clothes so the kids could play out in the yard. This is some of the fun we had sledding with daddy and swinging with Great Grandma Wilding.

Christmas Morning

So, Christmas morning we were going to have Jason's family over for breakfast at 8:30 and I had planned to have a LOT of food. When morning came we had no power. I called the power company and it wasn't going to be on until about 11 am. We had to call everyone and cancel breakfast.

The kids presents were all down in the basement where it was dark and cold. So we sat in front of the fireplace with our little emergency tv eating cold cereal until we decided just bring all their Christmas upstairs. So, Jason took the kids into our bed where they cuddled under the covers while I played Santa for the second time in 24hrs and brought everything upstairs. Finally when the power came on we made the kids cinnamon rolls for breakfast, we had already snacked on cereal and Christmas candy so we didn't really need a big breakfast. All in all it was a good Christmas and it was fun just cuddling together by the fire. Aren't they cute in their matching Christmas jammies!

Here is Carter with some of his new toys. (a wooden puzzle and his dinosaur).

And here is Cloie bouncing around on her new ball.
